What the table means in practice
Both products offer shortcuts, search, clocks, weather and visual customization without requiring an account. Their design philosophy differs after that shared base.
Mist emphasizes named shortcut groups, explicit JSON backup and a small set of display controls. Bonjourr’s official listing adds dynamic backgrounds, notes, checklists, Pomodoro, custom fonts and CSS.
Mist contacts weather and favicon providers directly for optional features. Bonjourr’s policy says its external-service requests go through an open-source API. Neither architecture should be reduced to a privacy score; read both policies in the context of the features you enable.
